JOHOR – A 35-year-old Sabahan was found hanging at his rented house in Johor on Monday (Feb 28) at around 7.30pm.

According to China Press, the deceased was living with two friends at a flat in Bandar Sri Alam, Johor.

Lost his job for over a year

A friend later told the Chinese daily that the Sabahan had lost his job for over a year and was suffering from depression, a statement that was confirmed by Sri Alam district police chief, Supt. Mohd Sohaimi Bin Ishak.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim chose to end his life due to pressure caused by personal issues.

“When his body was discovered by his housemates, it was too late to save him,” he said.

Mohd Sohaimi added that the case has been classified as sudden death and that no criminal elements were found.
