Napoli great Careca is sorry they missed out on Mauro Icardi.
The Inter Milan striker moved to PSG on-loan last week.
"Icardi could've played for Napoli and nobody would've blocked it. That's a real shame," Scudetto winner Careca told Il Giorno.
The Argentine is a good forward, but not a phenomenal one. I believe Lukaku is a better player. I just don't think Icardi makes the difference."
He added: They say the English league is the best now, but I don't believe that. There are a lot of foreigners in Italy, but the level remains high. What Serie A needs is more Coaches capable of recognising the potential of a player and getting that out of them."
