Ian Maatsen was thrilled to see action for Chelsea in their 1-1 draw at friendly opponents Bohemians.
The Dutch whiz, 17, moved to Chelsea from PSV and revealed he received positive feedback from manager Frank Lampard.
"He thought that I had done a fantastic job and that he saw the way in which I train every day in the game," Maatsen told Voetbal International.
"I tried to play uninhibited, stood my ground defensively. It went well with the support of my teammates.
The manager is very relaxed, but knows very well what and how he wants it. He explains everything and when you talk to him, you already feel that you can learn a lot from him."
