1,000 Sabahans benefit from craft skills training

Kota Kinabalu: Some 994 individuals have been and are currently undergoing craft skills training under the Natives’ Special Programme (PKAN) at the Yayasan Sabah College of Technology (YSCT)’s Craft Heritage Centre (PWK), since it was initiated in 2016.

Chief Minister’s wife, Datuk Juliah Salag said out of that figure, some 94 individuals are taking the training course this year.

She added, the Federal Government through the Sabah State Economic Planning Unit (Upen) had allocated RM9.9 million for the programme since 2016 including RM880,000 for this year.
