In a surprising turn of events, the latest revelations show that the viral video featuring the Indian man wielding a cleaver and challenging the grocery store owner was actually staged.
According to new video published by Joohari on Facebook, the video released earlier was part of a promotional campaign aimed at promoting racial harmony and also for the upcoming by-election.
Durian reunion
The new video shows a follow-up to the previous conflict, where the “1-by-1” Indian man continues to shout while Joohari shows up to talk to him.
After trying to de-escalate the situation, the Indian man reveals that he is actually there to eat durian with the Chinese shop owner.
The three of them then proceed to eat the durian together, saying that as Malaysians, we should be united and harmonious instead of fighting each other.
Netizens’ reaction
This twist-filled promotional campaign has people on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting the next development in the “1-by-1” saga.
Knowing the incident has a good ending, most netizens are relieved and celebrating the harmony among Malaysians.
