PENAMPANG: Almost 10,000 visitors thronged the Christmas Open House jointly organised by Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) and Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star) at Dewan Hongkod Koisaan (KDCA), on Wednesday.

It was the first time both parties jointly organised theevent, reflecting the spirit of unity between PBS and Star.

AdvertisementPBS Acting President cum Deputy Chief Minister II, Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam, described the collaboration as a symbol of close unification between the parties.

“I am very grateful for this extraordinary celebration and hope it reflects the public’s support for the combination of PBS and Star,” said Dr Joachim.

“According to PBS policy, once we form a coalition, we will continue with GRS,” he said.

However, the official selection would be determined at the congress which is expected to take place in October next year.

Star President Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, said: “We are very lucky in Sabah to be able to celebrate various festivals together. This is our uniqueness and advantage as Sabahans.”
