
KUALA PENYU: A total of 100 young entrepreneurs from this district received assistance under the Sabah Youth Entrepreneurs Jaya Scheme (SYABAS) at an event held at Monsoi Point, on Monday.
The youth, mainly small traders, each received RM500, presented by Kuala Penyu Assemblyman Datuk Limus Jury, during the ‘Outreach’ Programme by the Chief Minister of Sabah.
AdvertisementLimus, who is also the Assistant Minister of Public Works, said that the administration under Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor is highly attentive to the needs of youth in Sabah.
He said, under the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) agenda, youth interests are a top priority and serve as a core focus of the state government’s direction.

“This shows that the state government, under the leadership of Hajiji, is deeply concerned about youth interests,” he said during his speech at an event organised by the Institute for Government and People Cooperation (Ikrar).

At the same time, he noted that this assistance could also help young people without business licenses and bank accounts, particularly those in rural areas.

“This noble effort has been extended throughout Sabah, thereby helping and easing the burden of small youth traders,” he said.
