Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Credit Corporation (SCC) provides home purchase loan facilities up to 100 per cent for buying the first home and purchasing directly from a developer.
SCC Chief Executive Officer George Taitim Tulas said, in addition, the corporation also allocated RM300 million for loan facilities to contractors awarded contracts to build Rumah Mesra SMJ.
For the Corporate Entrepreneur Development Initiative Programme, he said, SCC provides loan facilities for business start-ups up to RM50,000.
“The maximum amount of interest-free micro-credit loans has also been increased to RM10,000 from RM2,000, and the payment period has been extended to 60 months from 24 months, and the eligibility age has been increased to 70.

In addition, he said, to expand service delivery, SCC has prepared a mobile office unit equipped with internet and WiFi facilities.
“This mobile office is not only for business matters but also enables training and seminars to be carried out in rural areas that do not have Internet equipment and so on.”
He added that SCC will also open a new branch office in Tuaran, which is expected to start operating no later than this June.
At the same event, SCC presented corporate social rsponsibility (CSR) contributions to the State Health Department.
The donation involved medical equipment amounting to RM647,000 consisting of handheld echocardiogram, fetal heart doppler, non-invasive jaundice meter, and phototherapy lights.
In addition, SCC also handed-over donations in the form of building materials for the construction of Surau An Nur Pengiran Hamdan, Kampung Tambalugu, Tuaran, and donations to orphans and the asnaf group.
Also present were Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, SCC Chairman Datuk Seri Yee Moh Chai, and Sabah Health Department Director Datuk Dr Asits Sanna.
