A family of 14 in Sabah has no choice but to stay in a shabby pondok as the head of the house only earns a total of RM30 per day. According to a video shared by influencer Adrian Edy, he shared that the man, Uncle Jaison works as a mechanic and has been living in the shabby pondok since 3 years ago.
M’sian shares that he has to feed 10 kids while only earning RM30 per day
Adrian shared that back on September 1, he headed over to Kota Maruda for a mission and while he was on his mission, he was told by the villagers around the area that there was a man of Dusun descent in his 50’s living with his kids and wife at a shabby wooden hut. As he headed over to the wooden hut, it’s apparent that their living conditions weren’t ideal.

“Uncle Jaison has 12 kids, but 2 of his kids have already started working and staying on their own”, he said.
Uncle Jaison shared that a bag of 10kg rice would only last them for 2 days and earning only a mere RM30 a day, he couldn’t afford other household items like a fan or a mattress. As their hut was shabby and undermaintained, water would seep through the cracks whenever it rains, making everything wet.

Thankfully, with the help of the public, Adrian was able to gather a 10-men team and a total cash donation of RM4,000 for Uncle Jaison and his family. Other than that, they’ve also installed solar panels so it could generate electricity for them and to top it off, they’ve also decided to gift them a fan. As the family receives the gift, they were all grateful and are looking forward towards a better quality of life.
