MACC has detained 11 individuals, including former Tabung Haji officials and a former minister, over matters highlighted in the RCI report on TH.
PUTRAJAYA: Eleven individuals have so far been detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) as part of investigations into matters highlighted in the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH).
MACC Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman confirmed the arrests at a press conference at the MACC headquarters here today.
Those detained are:
- Former TH managing director, 61
- Director of Putrajaya Perdana, 59
- Former director of Putra Perdana Construction Sdn Bhd, 61
- Former TH chairman, 60
- Former director of Putrajaya Perdana Berhad, 69
- Chief operating officer of Alam Maritim Sdn Bhd, 67
- Former TH senior general manager of Hajj, 65
- Former TH senior general manager of Corporate Finance and Services Division, 58
- Former TH senior general manager of Corporate Finance and Services Division, 59
- Former TH legal adviser, 60
- Former minister, 65
The investigation follows findings contained in the RCI report into the management and operations of TH.
