KOTA MARUDU: Eleven flood victims from three families, including four adults and seven children, were rescued in Beliajung, here, on Sunday.
The District Fire and Rescue team responded to the 6.15pm emergency call and reached the location 18 kilometres away at 6.44pm.
AdvertisementRescue operations involved 11 personnel using a Hicom truck, a Vigo vehicle, and a National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) boat to evacuate victims trapped in their homes.
The evacuees were relocated to SK Teritipan as the rescue mission continued to secure the area.
