A Standard Five student died after reportedly falling from a height at an apartment in Kajang early this morning.
Based on a report by Sin Chew Daily, the incident took place at the apartment located in Taman Sepakat Indah 2, Bandar Baru Bangi at 6.50am.
It is also understood that the victim was a student at a school within the area.
Witness heard distressed cries
According to a social media post shared by a witness, he said that he heard cries for help from a nearby park.
This caused several worshippers who had just finished performing prayers, as well as residents to rush to the scene.
There, they found the victim who still had his school bag on him and had allegedly fallen from the seventh floor.
An ambulance and police turned up at the scene at about 7.30am, and the victim was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are currently reviewing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage around the scene to figure out what happened prior to the fall and what led to the victim’s demise.
