“Fun, sexy, and happy” are the key concepts that circulate through the whole of el Willy Spanish Kitchen, and this reflects its owner’s personality, Chef Willy Trullàs Moreno. Following the chef’s other outlets in Shanghai and Hong Kong, el Willy Bangkok chooses to adapt to Thai tastes by pumping up the spice, as you will experience in the paella and other dishes. A la carte and tasting menus are available, with the latter being highly recommended for a little taste of everything.

Upon walking into the Mediterranean-inspired space, guests will see the large arch-shaped bar encircling the open kitchen in the centre. Bar Sociedad Laferia
Best for: No fuss bites and Spanish beer
This was one of the hottest new openings of 2025, and for good reason. For those who miss not only the food but the energy of Spain, Laferia comes quite close. Like heading into your favourite tapas bar in Barcelona, this Spanish restaurant is design-savvy but unpretentious. Dishes are served on plain, classic plates, that allow the food to speak for itself — whether you go for a Spanish omelette, meat balls, croquettes, or clams. Best for: Cosy, noisy Spanish wine nights
This Spanish wine bar may be small, but it is absolutely worth the visit. Tucked away on an unsuspecting corner off Sathorn road, PaLeTa is a best-kept Spanish secret for a reason. It is a must-visit if you’re into Spanish wines, as the staff is well-trained and knowledgeable on a whole host of labels. To accompany, you’ll find classic dishes like grilled octopus, pork chops, Padron peppers, and gambas al ajillo. It can get a little noisy when it is busy, but that’s half the fun. Reservations are highly recommended.

LUMA
Best for: Sophisticated Spanish dining in Thonglor
It was about time Thonglor got a proper good Spanish restaurant, and in LUMA, both flavours and ambience earn high scores. The traditional Spanish menu is vast and varied, from classic hot and cold tapas, over to lesser-seen dishes like razor clams, baby eel, Spanish-style Cannelloni, or even suckling pig. Rice dishes expand from a classic seafood paella to Valencian soupy rice or even Valencian Mellow rice with duck. For dessert, the Basque-style cheesecake is unmissable. LUMA does a special Sunday lunch every week, too.

Sabio Bangkok is a tapas and sangria bar located within the new voco Bangkok Surawong. Look beyond the two-metre zebra, and you’ll find they specialise in tapas, honouring this Spanish food culture through an array of classic dishes. You’ll find pan con tomate, boquerones, and pinchos on the menu, as well as a really solid selection of Spanish hams and cheeses. Pura Brasa
Best for: Easy Spanish dining
If you’ve been to Spain before, you may have spotted the casual Pura Brasa eateries across the country. After opening in Singapore, the Spanish restaurant has unveiled an outlet in Bangkok, located at One Bangkok. The menu is easy to understand and fairly approachable, as they specialise in tapas, Spanish rice, fish, and grilled meats.
