
Twelve tourists from Kerala were injured as a tempo traveller collided with a tractor-trolley near the Kharar flyover on the Kharar-Chandigarh national highway on Monday morning.
The tempo traveller coming from Manali to the Chandigarh airport collided with the tractor-trolley loaded with potatoes. There were 20 tourists of which 12 sustained injuries. The tourists from Kerala were returning from Manali and were to catch a flight to Kerala.
Police took the seriously injured tourists to Kharar hospital.
After the accident, a massive traffic jam occurred on the road bringing the movement of vehicles to a halt. Later, the traffic was restored.
