According to Free Malaysia Today, Mahathir, a vocal opponent of Israel, blasted the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe for their continued backing of the Tel Aviv government.
"They backed Israel when it committed crimes. Because the US, Britain, and Europe don't behave like civilized people, we are unable to recognize them as human rights champions.
Following the organization's surprise attack on a number of Israeli targets on October 7, Israel declared war on Hamas. Since then, there have been over 3,000 fatalities on both sides.
Based on UN statistics, at least 400,000 displaced people are being housed in UN buildings and schools, the majority of which are not suited to serve as emergency shelters. At least one million people have been forced to evacuate their homes.
