
KUALA PENYU: A 13-foot-long python weighing approximately 20 kilogrammes was captured by the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) at Kampung Seberang Menumbok.
Civil Defence Officer Lt (PA) Amrin Amirun confirmed the incident on Thursday, stating that an emergency call was received at 9.55am on Wednesday.
A team of APM personnel was immediately dispatched to the scene, equipped with a snake catcher tool to handle the reptile.

The team used the catcher to safely restrain and capture the python,” he said.
The operation took about 10 minutes, and the snake was then removed from the coop without incident.
The python was later released back into its natural habitat in a nearby forested area.
