KOTA KINABALU: Sabah has made 13 formal requests for data on federal revenue collected in the state but has yet to receive a response, said Assistant Finance Minister Datuk Julita Mojungki.

She said the lack of information hampers Sabah’s efforts to calculate its entitlement under the 40pc net revenue formula stated in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

Julita said Sabah submitted a 2023 Special Grant claim based on internal estimates and affirmed its stand to uphold the original formula.

She added that RM600 million has been agreed as an interim payment for 2025, while negotiations with the Federal Government continue.

A session is set for June 30, and if unresolved, a neutral assessor may be appointed under the Constitution.
