One of the first vegan restaurants in Kuala Lumpur that is on our list is this famous Tex-Mex-inspired plant-based vegan meal restaurant. They have a variety of meals, from our local cuisines to Mexican tacos and Western food such as nuggets, burgers, etc.

This place has great reviews and everyone seems to love it, even people who aren’t vegetarians or vegans due to their collection of delicious and nutritious food.

The Ganga Cafe is another restaurant that serves vegetarian Malaysian food and vegan food in Kuala Lumpur. This is for those who enjoy their food spicy or extra spicy and flavourful with Indian spices.

In this shop, you can get vegan Western cuisines from homemade pizzas, burgers, soups, sandwiches, and many more.

Vegan and gluten-free options are available on almost all the items on their menu, inform the waiter when ordering. Similar to Ganga Cafe, this restaurant is also free from artificial colorings, MSG, preservatives, & eggs.

This place is not only famous amongst the vegans but also the non-vegans who enjoy the food there as much as the vegans. We could say that their menu makes it irresistible and indistinguishable for the non-vegans to miss out or even realize that it’s vegan.

5. Kusa Vegan (Formerly Known As Supe)

Vegan sushi anyone? I never thought that Vegan sushi could be made but these guys in Kusa Vegan are making them and they are super delicious!

In addition to sushi, they also have vegan ramen. You can enjoy these Japanese cuisines in vegan options at Kusa Vegan in Bukit Bintang.

Next on our list is for Thai food lovers! Veggilicious Thai is an authentic Vegan & Vegetarian Thai cuisine located in Petaling Jaya. This is possibly the only Vegan Thai restaurant in Malaysia!

This simple and cozy vegan cafe is located on the 3rd floor in Wisma Cosway with a variety of super tasty food for you to try.

It can get a little bit challenging to find this restaurant but if you follow the signboards and go to the 3rd floor, you’d be able to locate it. It’s definitely worth the try, their Google reviews are not lying.

Some of the most popular dishes tried here are Nasi Lemak Special, Mixed Fruits Rojak, Vegan Bibimpap, and Vegan Chicken rice. For desserts, they have Vegan Pumpkin bases cheesecake, Vegan butter cake, vegan boba tea, and many more.

Yes, you heard that right, they serve vegan boba tea. If you’re a boba tea lover, you must come here. Overall, there are more for you to try and taste from their menu.

8. Hijau

Inspired by the flavors of Malaysia and Indonesia, Hijau (Green in English) uses only natural, whole-food ingredients that are free from preservatives and additional MSG.

Born in a local cafe and growing in food courts in Sentul Depot, and REX KL in Petaling Street, Hijau has now expanded its horizons and ventured into its its first brick-and-mortar in Damansara City Mall in the middle of 2023.

Some of their popular dishes are Nasi Padang, Beefless Dendeng, Laksam, and many more.

9. Dharma Realm Guan Yin Sagely Monastery Food Centre

Located near the Petronas Tower, a 5-minute walk from KLCC, this budget-friendly canteen-style Monastery food center serves a wide variety of Malaysian Vegetarian food & serves vegan dishes as well.

Similar to the typical Chinese mixed rice style, you can choose your dishes and enjoy your meal.

If you’re thinking that the food is free here because it’s located in a temple, you’re wrong, you’ll need to pay for your meals.

Additionally, there are also some snacks, fruits, and other options available. At this restaurant, patrons are expected to clean themselves after eating, separating food waste and utensils in a designated area.

They add a special menu on the 1st and 15th of the Lunar month as there will be a lot of people coming to the temple on those days.

However, rest assured, the place is indeed in a house setting. Previously known as RAWcoffee, one of the best coffee places in Kuala Lumpur, this famous coffee place now named RGB & The Bean Hive is now operating in Jalan Damai, Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.

You should try their coffees as they are famously known for that and other vegan options that you can choose from.

Finally, we’re concluding our search for vegan restaurants with a dessert place. Vegan ice cream lovers, I think Kind Kones will be your new favourite ice cream brand.

Kind Kones, handcrafted in Singapore, is a plant-based frozen dessert started by experimenting with plant-based ice cream recipes in a family kitchen with only natural ingredients free from dairy, eggs, preservatives, and any artificial additives.
