KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 — The 13th Malaysia Plan 2026-2030 (13MP) will be a jumping-off point to address the nation’s economic challenges, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar, who is also finance minister, said these challenges include developmental and income disparities, limited fiscal space, and slow economic structural transformation.

“The country must be more resilient in facing global economic risks and uncertainties, while accelerating structural transition and narrowing socio-economic development gaps,” he said in a Facebook post today.

Earlier, Anwar led discussions with senior government officials on the preparation of 13MP, which will be tabled by the Madani Government at the upcoming Dewan Rakyat sitting.

“The 13MP is a key policy document of the government to implement the Madani Economy agenda.

“The preparation of the document, which began in the middle of last year, involves teamwork and comprehensive feedback from all stakeholders on the proposed strategies and initiatives that have been drafted,” Anwar added.
