14 including Datuk claim trial to organised crime charges

Kota Kinabalu: Fourteen individuals including a Datuk claimed trial at the High Court here Friday for being members of the organised crime group “Geng Upik".

The 14, who were brought before Judge Datuk Ismail Brahim, were separately charged with the offence under Section 130V (1) of the Penal Code, between 2015 and 2023.

They were Datuk Maslan Sani,Fazrul Bahar, Norsyafilah Pawawoi, Shahlan Shah Abdul Samad, Mahathir Jibarail, Zulkahar Dusing, Nelson Yen Yee Chung, Alkan Abraham, Mohd Faridzul Asmahadi, Mohd Fikrie Asme, Rahman Burijin, Jaisalfian Jaineh @ Zaini, Mohd Fauzie Rablin and Mazlan Mahmud, aged between 27 and 49.

Their case were transferred to the High Court from the Sessions Court earlier in the morning.
