A 14-year-old boy has been taken into police custody for allegedly assaulting a 15-year-old female student at a school in Sabak Bernam on Oct 13. The incident reportedly occurred during morning recess at around 9.30 am.

Remand ordered for investigation
According to Sabak Bernam district police chief Supt Md Yusoff Ahmad, the suspect was arrested the same day, Oct 13 at Jalan Parit, Sungai Besar, and has been remanded for four days starting Oct 14.

Authorities are investigating the case under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017. This marks yet another sexual assault case reported in Malaysian schools this month, raising concerns about student safety on campus.
