A 14-year-old girl went missing after taking an e-hailing ride from her house in Johor on February 6 around 9:30 AM.
According to China Press, the teenager’s father had no idea why the daughter left home without saying a word, and her parents did not notice anything amiss before her disappearance.
She also did not carry her identification card or passport with her. The missing teenager, Ong Ying Zi, is the second child in the family. She has an elder brother and a younger brother.
In a viral Facebook post by Ong’s relative, the family member managed to contact the e-hailing driver, who told them that he drove Ong to Larkin Bus Station.
It was revealed that Ong took the bus to Kuala Lumpur and her family managed to track her location in Bukit Bintang around 6 PM on the same day, which was also Ong’s last traced location.
Her parents lodged a police report on the same day.

In another report by China Press, PDRM found Ong with her peers at a snooker centre in Penang.
Ong was found just 1 day after her disappearance.
After the police arrived at the scene to investigate, they took the girl and the two teenagers who were with her at the time back to the police station.
The public in Penang recognised Ong through the missing person’s news and immediately reported the matter to the police.
PDRM in both Penang and Johor have yet to release an official statement about the matter.
