15 4WD ambulances for APM Sabah

Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Civil Defence Force (APM) is getting 15 units of four-wheel-drive (4WD) ambulances worth RM4.042 million to strengthen its emergency services, especially in rural areas of the State.

Minister in Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah, Sarawak and Special Functions) Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said eight units were handed over, Friday, and will be distributed in the districts of Tuaran, Papar, Putatan, Ranau, Keningau, Pitas, Sandakan and Kalabakan.

“The remaining seven units are expected to arrive on Aug 1 and will be handed over to the Sabah APM,” he told reporters at the vehicle handover ceremony at Kinabalu Tower here, Friday.
