
RANAU: The charred remains of a 15-year-old girl was found after a fire in Kg Lasing during the wee hours on Tuesday.
Ranau Fire and Rescue Chief Ridwan Mohd Taib said the incident happened at 1.30am.
He said the victim was found slumped in the living room on the ground floor of the house after the fire was extinguished by firemen.
The semi-permanent house was burnt down completely.

“Arriving at the scene 3km from the station, the operation involved one stream of 400 feet by two water jets from the machinery tank. The fire was brought under control at 2.55am,” he added.
The victim’s body was handed over to the police for further action.
