MANILA, Philippines — Commuters traveling along Edsa can now access free Wi-Fi at 17 Edsa Busway stations, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on Tuesday.
The DOTr said the initiative, undertaken in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), aims to modernize public transportation and improve commuter convenience.
“Passengers can use the free Wi-Fi for cashless payment of fares and to stay connected with their families while commuting to work, school, or other destinations,” Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez said.
He said that inter-agency cooperation enables the government to deliver “more effective and better public service” under the leadership of the President.
To connect to the Edsa Busway free Wi-Fi, commuters simply need to follow three steps: select the Wi-Fi network in settings, connect to DICT Free Wi-Fi for All, and agree to the terms and conditions.
