A Malaysian student, Ahmad Khidir Ahmad Nazri, has become a beacon of inspiration after excelling academically at Sekolah Menengah Jenis Kebangsaan (SMJK) Heng Ee in Penang.

At just 17 years old and without having sat for his Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) exams, Ahmad has already caught the eye of a renowned local university.

According to Harian Metro, a university representative reached out to his teacher via TikTok to request more information about him.

“I was shocked when my History teacher informed me that someone from the university’s admissions department had enquired about me. While I’m incredibly grateful for their interest, my focus right now is on preparing for SPM,” said Ahmad.

This young lad recently took the stage at his school’s graduation ceremony, walking away with five prestigious awards.

These included the Tokoh Pelajar Award, Deputy Head Prefect recognition, first place in his class and the arts stream, and top marks in Malay Language and Islamic Studies.

Sharing Knowledge, Inspiring Others

Ahmad also mentioned that he had been working hard since Form Three to achieve excellent results and stated that his dream is to pursue a degree in Human Resources, hopefully at Universiti Malaya (UM) or Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).

Many have reached out to him for advice, seeking tips on mastering subjects like Mandarin and Principles of Accounting.

Others, especially Form Three students, have sought guidance on choosing the right stream for Form Four.

“I’m always happy to share what I know. It’s rewarding to help others succeed,” he said humbly.

A Rising Star

His ability to excel in an SJKC environment, where language and cultural dynamics differ from typical national schools, showcases his resilience and adaptability.

As he prepares to sit for his SPM, Ahmad remains grounded, focused on the next steps in his journey.

“I just want to give my best in SPM. Whatever comes after that is a bonus,” he said.
