
Kota Kinabalu: The Local Government and Housing Ministry (KKTP) has acquired 18 new trucks to enhance services in 12 local authorities (PBTs) across Sabah.
The recipient PBTs are Kudat Town Council, Semporna District Council, Keningau District Council, Beaufort District Council, Sipitang District Council, Ranau District Council, Kinabatangan District Council, Tuaran District Council, Tenom District Council, Kota Marudu District Council, Kota Belud District Council and Pitas District Council.
AdvertisementThe trucks were officially handed over by Universal Motor Sdn Bhd during a ceremony here Wednesday, witnessed by KKTP Permanent Secretary Datuk Dr Jamili Nais, represented by Deputy Permanent Secretary I Stanley Chong.
“These trucks will significantly enhance efficiency and productivity, especially in transporting solid waste from residential, commercial, and industrial areas to landfills," said Jamili in a speech read by Chong, according to a statement.
