Before noon, a brush began near Chuck Wagon Road, outside of Ramona, California, in the hills northeast of San Diego.

The blaze, dubbed the Bunnie Fire, has since grown to at least 183 acres and exhibits a "dangerous rate of spread," officials told NBC 7.

A temporary evacuation point has been set up at Olive Pierce Middle School, Fox 5 reports.
