Freak accidents can happen anytime and anywhere, where the victim is caught in an unfortunate situation due to circumstances out of his/her control.
Tragically, a university student became one such victim in an unexpected accident after he fell to his death while trying to retrieve his t-shirt at the balcony of a condo in KL.
18yo M’sian student falls from 34th floor of condo
Harian Metro reported that the unfortunate incident took place at a condominium located at Jalan Raja Abdullah, Kampung Baru, yesterday (Dec 26).
The victim was an 18-year-old student who was believed to have fallen from the 34th floor while trying to pick up a t-shirt.
Dang Wangi district police chief Assistant Commissioner Noor Dellhan Yahaya said police received a report of the incident at 8.17pm, where the victim’s body was found at the lower level of the 39-storey building.
According to statements given by two witnesses, they claimed the victim was trying to pick up a t-shirt which had fallen on the sidewalk of the balcony.
“He was said to have climbed onto a table before climbing the balcony railing, where he later lost his balance and plunged down,” he said in a statement.
Noor Dellhan said the victim’s body was sent to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine (IPFN) at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) for an autopsy. Further investigations into the case are currently underway.
