Liverpool are threatening Manchester United plans for Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
United were reported to have a clear run at signing the Portugal international.
However, A Bola says Liverpool are not out of the race for Fernandes, despite United's confidence that they can seal a deal.
Fernandes' agent is set to meet Liverpool officials in the next 48 hours.
It is suggested that neither United or Liverpool have made a bid as yet, with Fernandes valued at around 45million.
