
SEMPORNA: Marine Police arrested two men and seized about 2,000 litres of diesel at Seafest Semporna fish market, on Thursday.
The team was on duties under Op Taring Gelora Khas when they received a tip-off and went to the location at 3.30pm.
Upon arrival, the found two men unloading some goods from a lorry onto a boat.
In inspection on the lorry found 52 jerry cans containing 25 litres of diesel.

Read more On the boat was 28 jerry cans containing 25 litres of diesel. All 80 jerry cans were estimated to contain 2,000 litres of diesel, estimated worth RM4,300.
Sabah Region Four MPF Commander, ACP Ahmad Ariffin when contacted, confirmed the arrest and seizure, adding that both the suspects failed to produce a permit or documents on the subsidised items.
The offence was committed under the Control of Supplies Act 1961.
He said the Marine also seized the lorry and boat, including its engine and key, with a total worth RM235,010.
Ahmad added that the suspects and seizure were taken to Semporna MPF base for further action and the case will be referred to the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living.
