PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has investigated two suspects for allegedly making malicious and provocative comments during a replay of a parliamentary session on TikTok on July 9.

MCMC said the two suspects had their statements recorded yesterday following public complaints.

"The suspects’ SIM cards and smartphones were seized to assist in the investigation," said MCMC in a statement.

"MCMC views misuse of communication services and social media seriously, and reminds the public not to use network services and online apps to make any comments that violate the country’s laws."
