Kota Kinabalu: A total of 20 participants attended the referees and table officials clinic organised by Penampang Basketball Association (PBA) at SJK (C) Chung Hwa Likas on May 31.

The clinic began with a comprehensive introduction to the basics of basketball officiating with practical methods applied by experienced PBA instructors.

PBA president Dicky Lo said the clinic served as a stepping stone for aspiring referees and officials and the aim was to provide them with knowledge on the game’s mechanics and updates on the latest rules for referees and table officials.

He added that with the success of the event and positive response from the participants, PBA is looking forward to holding the second edition in the very near future as they are committed to providing a platform for individuals to develop their skills so that they can contribute to the basketball community.
