
Kota Kinabalu: A total of 200 students from nine schools here received contribution in conjunction with the “Back To School Programme” by Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom), here, recently.
The programme, supported by District Education Department, aimed at helping underprivileged students.
It was carried out at Dewan Sri Tiung Suluh Budiman, SK Batu 6 ½ Segama held in conjunction with Esscom’s 10th Anniversary.
It also aimed at strengthening relationship and cooperation between security forces and the community in Eastern Sabah Security Zone (Esszone) through community and welfare activities.
Esscom Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Jamaluddin Mohd Ali, while officiating the programme hoped students who received the “Back To School Kit” will utilise the contribution and study hard to achieve their dreams.
Students from SK Batu 6 ½ Segama, SK Lahad Datu IV, SK Payang, SK Sepagaya, SK Tawaiyari, SK Terusan, SK Unico Desa, SK Bukit Belacon and SJKC Kiau Shing received contributions in the form of bag packs, uniforms, shoes and stationeries contributed by Syarikat Canggih Bayu Sdn. Bhd.
Also present were District Education Officer, Abdul Aziz Abdul Rashid, Syarikat Canggih Bayu Sdn. Bhd. Director, Safuan Abas and Esscom Deputy Commander, Brig. Gen Johari Ismail.
