
A total of 420,879 candidates will sit the 2026 SPM at 3,334 centres, with the Bahasa Melayu speaking test starting on Oct 26, says the Education Ministry.
PETALING JAYA: A total of 420,879 candidates have registered to sit for the 2026 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination at 3,334 examination centres nationwide.
The Education Ministry (MOE) said the examination would begin with the Bahasa Melayu speaking test from Oct 26 to 29, followed by the English speaking test from Nov 2 to 5.
The Science practical examination will be held from Nov 16 to 18, while the written papers will take place from Nov 23 to Dec 17.
The Bahasa Melayu listening test is scheduled for Nov 30, followed by the English listening test on Dec 1.
The Malaysian Examinations Board will announce the complete timetable for the 2026 SPM examination in due course.
“MOE is committed to doing its best to ensure that the 2026 SPM examination is conducted smoothly and in an orderly manner,” it said in a statement.
