A 21-year-old female student at a renowned university in Penang lost her life after she allegedly fell from her hostel’s building.
Following the fall, she was found lying on her back on the concrete floor below the hostel block, reported FMT and China Press.
Timur Laut police chief Abdul Rozak Muhammad said in a statement that the victim, who was staying at the hostel, was found by a cleaner at about 7.25am today and police were alerted of the incident at 8.40am.
While initial investigations found no signs of foul play, multiple external injuries believed to have been caused by a fall from a height were discovered on her body.
Her body was sent to Penang Hospital for a post-mortem and the case is being investigated as sudden death.
