Small business owners can now visit any of 222 new PRIME centres nationwide for free, in-person help with financing, licensing, training, and other government support programmes.
PRIME (Pusat Rujukan Inklusif Usahawan MADANI, or MADANI Entrepreneur Inclusive Reference Centre) is run by the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) in partnership with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). The counters are hosted at existing NADI (National Information Dissemination Centre) locations, covering every parliamentary constituency across the country.
Free Help With Financing, Licences And Training
The government has set a target of 30,000 to 50,000 entrepreneurs using PRIME by the end of 2026. PRIME officers can help businesses identify suitable government financing schemes, grants and other support programmes, as well as provide guidance on licensing, digitalisation, training, and mentoring. The federal government has allocated RM15 billion for SME and entrepreneur programmes in 2026, with RM9 billion already distributed to over 200,000 businesses as of July.
The service also comes as KUSKOP prepares to extend the renewal periods for about 55 business licences and permits. Affected licences will be renewable every three or five years instead of annually.
Every Parliamentary Constituency Has A PRIME Counter
All 222 PRIME counters are hosted at selected NADI locations, with at least one counter serving every parliamentary constituency. The locations are listed on the official NADI website.
Each PRIME counter operates from 9am to 6pm, and no appointment is required.
