Asier Riesgo has been denied a dream move to Manchester City.
Having been on the books at City in the past, the goalkeeper was ready to join this summer as third-choice after coming off contract at Eibar.
However, City were prevented from dealing in Riesgo due to squad limits on foreign players.
But City were still able to help the keeper find a new club.
Riesgo has this week signed with City's partners Girona in the Segunda Division.
