PENAMPANG: Twenty-four professionals and community leaders from various background were appointed as the new Penampang Municipal Council members on Thursday.
The swearing-in ceremony for the 2024-2026 council members at the ITCC Shopping Mall here was officiated by Deputy Chief Minister-cum-Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Joachim Gunsalam.
In his address, Joachim challenged the council members to enhance services in Penampang under the leadership of the council's President, Francis Chong Yu Shing.
