Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah State Public Service Commission (SPANS) received 260,399 job applications last year.

Its Chairman Tan Sri Sukarti Wakiman said of the figure, 668 appointments were approved in various positions and grades.

“Apart from new appointments, SPANS also manages matters related to public service including granting pensionable status, confirmation of positions, property declaration, disciplinary actions and promotions.

“In total, 6,899 cases according to the 27 functions of SPANS have been implemented for 2023,” he said after a courtesy visit to Sabah Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin at Seri Kinabalu, here, Monday.
