Malaysians are taken aback by a man’s disrespectful behavior towards authorities, which nearly put others in danger.

A recent viral video shows a Malaysian man casually posing with a peace sign and smiling after setting fire to a police car near a bus stop at MRT Mutiara Damansara.

In the short clip, he also wrote, “I’ve successfully burned the police car. I’m satisfied now.”

The video is believed to have been uploaded by the suspect on his TikTok account earlier this morning.

Suspect has been arrested

Reported by Harian Metro, the police have confirmed that the suspect was arrested today (Feb 15).

The Petaling Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said they arrested the 26-year-old p-hailing worker after receiving a report regarding the incident.

Furthermore, he explained that the suspect allegedly used petrol bombs to set the vehicle on fire. The police also seized several items they believe the suspect used.

The initial investigations also found that the suspect was involved in vandalism by spray-painting the walls of the bus terminal.

The motive is still unknown

Mohd Fakhrudin stated that the motive behind the incident is still under investigation, and the case is being investigated under Section 435 of the Penal Code, which pertains to malicious acts.
