According to China Press, the incident took place at 5.43pm yesterday (Nov 16) at a construction site in front of the Four Seasons Hotel at Jalan Tun Razak near KLCC.
Berita Harian reported that the 27-year-old victim lost consciousness inside the crane’s cabin area before his colleague called the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) for assistance.
Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department senior operations commander Mior Muhammad Fikri Mohd Zaini said in a statement that a team of 10 firefighters from the Jalan Tun Razak Fire and Rescue Station and an engine rushed to the scene upon receiving the call.

When they arrived at the scene at 5.50pm, they found the victim unconscious inside the crane and had to use an adjacent tower crane to lower his body down from a height of 20m at 7.46pm.
Unfortunately, he didn’t survive the incident and was pronounced dead by a Ministry of Health (MOH) officer.
