PENAMPANG: A total of 28 primary, secondary, and special education schools in the Penampang parliamentary constituency have received RM230,000 in aid from Yayasan Bank Rakyat (YBR).

Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick presented the aid at a ceremony held at SK St Theresa Inobong today.

Each secondary school received RM10,000, while primary schools were allocated RM5,000, with an additional RM10,000 grants for two secondary and five primary schools running special education programmes.

Ewon, who is also the MP for Penampang, said the initiative, which began in 2023 under the Domestic Look East Policy (Kuskop’s perspective), will continue annually.

He also approved RM50,000 from his parliamentary allocation for SK St Theresa Inobong to support school facilities, with several local leaders and YBR representatives attending the event.
