Former Liverpool manager Graeme Souness believes that Jurgen Klopp feels his midfield lacks creativity.

Souness believe Klopp is aware they lack a real ball-player in the centre of the park.

"I think you know what you get from those three. They might have a difficult day but one thing they will do is stop the opposition playing," he told Sky Sports ahead of Liverpool's win against Tottenham.

"When you have three magicians up front like they have, maybe you can get away without any of them being terribly gifted on the ball in the last third.

"I think the manager is fully aware of it. They signed Oxlade-Chamberlain, if he can keep himself fit I'd like to think he'll be exactly what they're looking for, Keita, I'm not sure what you get with him.

"Shaqiri, if you're dominating the goal and not asking him to run back towards your own box, they tried to sign Fekir from Lyon last year.

"I think he realises he wants a different type of midfield in certain games but it's very hard to be critical of those three that are playing today because I don't think anyone enjoys playing against them."
