PUTATAN: More than 289,000 pupils from 1,075 primary schools in Sabah benefited from the School Social Assistance (BSS) initiative of the State Government.
State Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Minister Datuk Ir. Shahelmey Yahya said the burden of parents or guardians is lightened to some extent.
“The 1,075 primary schools involved more than 289,000 pupils regardless of whether they are B40 or M40 status. They were all eligible,” he said when met after handing over BSS to eight primary schools in Putatan at SK Pekan Putatan.
