Jonas Lossl insists he hasn't joined Everton to sit on the bench.
With Jordan Pickford firmly established as No.1 for both club and country, the Dane has so far been restricted to a watching brief since his summer arrival from Huddersfield Town.
But he told Tipsbladet: "Everton is one of Premier League's best clubs and so I go to it with an open mind and take up the competition.
"After all, I am drawn in to that, so I go for it. I believe 100 percent that I can become a first-team player here.
"Whether it is while Jordan (Pickford) is here or when he's gone, I don't know. But I believe it."
