The parties have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish 2GO-SMX Events Logistics, a centralized permit processing and venue logistics facilitation system designed to streamline event operations within the SMX Convention Center and the Mall of Asia Complex.
Building on decades of maritime heritage linking major island economies, 2GO’s modern end-to-end supply chain ecosystem now extends directly into event management, trade shows, and specialized project logistics. Streamlining operations with SMX, CBP, and SM Estates reflects a commitment to innovation across the entire logistics ecosystem, delivering an integrated solution that enables exhibitors and organizers to move cargo more efficiently and with total confidence.
Under the agreement, 2GO will serve as the master logistics coordinator by processing permit applications on behalf of contractors and coordinating required endorsements with SM Estates and CBP.
The company will also manage end-to-end logistics support during ingress, active event operations, and final pull-out activities at SMX, while eliminating redundant documentation to reduce operational delays and minimize administrative overhead for event organizers and suppliers.
By aligning expertise and resources, the partners are creating a more seamless and efficient framework for venue logistics, reinforcing a dedication to delivering world-class experiences supported by efficient operational systems. Closer coordination under the MOU will drastically accelerate review turnarounds and endorsement approvals across the estate.
While CBP remains the sole authority for regulating permits, applications, vehicle access, and fees, this collaboration enables all parties to deliver services more holistically and effectively.
