Kota Kinabalu: Preacher, Sheikh Mohamed Abdel Aziz Mahmoud Ghonim, a member of the Fatwa Council Al-Azhal Al-Sharief Tanta Mesir led some 3,000 in Isyak and Terawih Sunat prayers at the State Mosque in conjunction with the State Nuzul Al-Quran Celebration, on Saturday.
In attendance was Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor, Deputy Datuk Ir. Shahelmey Yahya, Minister of Community Development and People's Welfare and, Datuk James Ratib and Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister (Religious Affairs), Datuk Ruslan Muharam.
Also present were State Mufti, Datuk Bungsu @ Aziz Jaafar, State Secretary, Datuk Seri Panglima Sr. Safar Untong, Director of Sabah Department of Islamic Religious Affairs (Jheains), Datuk Saifulzaman Sangul, Deputy Chairman of Muis, Malai Ali Malai Ahmad, Chairman of Sabah Baitulmal Corporation (PBNS), Datuk Dr Omar Raisul As-Salam Syah Sulaiman Omar, and heads of state and federal departments, in addition to the chairman of mosques and suraus invited from all districts.
