JOHOR BAHRU: A weak earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale struck off the waters of Batu Pahat at 9.04 am today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
It said in a Facebook post that the epicentre was at 1.7°N, 103.1°E, 25 kilometres southeast of Batu Pahat, at a depth of 10 kilometres.
“Tremors may have been felt in the Batu Pahat area, and MetMalaysia will continue to monitor the situation,” it said. - Bernama
