Three PDRM officers were arrested for alleged extortion and sexual coercion involving an 18-year-old girl who was recently detained with her boyfriend at Jalan Sentul Pasar.
A four-day remand order was obtained against the three officers to assist with the investigation, according to KL Deputy Police Chief Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad. In a social media post that circulated earlier, the 18-year-old claimed she was stopped by three PDRM officers near a food stall with her boyfriend in Sentul, KL, at around 1:10 AM on 17 September.

The officers allegedly requested the couple’s ICs and seized their mobile phones without consent, viewing private photos in the boyfriend’s gallery.
One of the officers then allegedly separated her from her boyfriend and told her that the private photos constituted a serious offense, which could result in a RM10,000 fine or a jail term of up to two years. The girl also claimed she was not allowed to contact anyone and was told there was only one way out of the situation.
She claimed in her report that she was given two options: pay the RM10,000 fine or have sex with the officer.
She further alleged that the officer suggested repeated sexual encounters, threatening that her life would be ruined if she went to jail. The officer also allegedly demanded that she spend the following night with him and threatened to arrest her boyfriend if she refused to comply. Additionally, he warned her not to share the incident with anyone, or he would visit her at her home.

In her report, the girl also stated that the officer promised her cash and an iPhone if she agreed to maintain a sexual relationship with him.
According to reports by the New Straits Times and Harian Metro, all three officers were arrested by the City Criminal Investigation Department’s Sexual, Women, and Child Investigation Division (D11) on 18 September at a restaurant.
The case is now being investigated under Section 354 and Section 384 of the Penal Code for assault or use of criminal force with intent to outrage modesty, and for extortion.
